Stampin for the weekend - blue and brown

I had this image in my stash already coloured which I thought would be perfect for this weeks challenge of blue and brown over at Stampin for the weekend.
Have used The Greeting Farm - Miss Anya - Snow stamp coloured with copics embellished with a hint of glamour dust, the DP's are basic grey & others and the snowflake badge in the centre of the flower was from koolbadges.

Crafty Catz- Colour Combo challenge 12

It's been a couple of weeks since I posted, working Sundays and feeling a bit under the weather has taken it's toll, but I have finally got round to making a couple of cards and the first one I'm posting is for the colour challenge over at Crafty Catz which this week is Brown, Cream & White with a bit of gold.

The stamp is Elzybells "Reindeer and Star" coloured with Copics and the DP's are from stash.

Now that I've finished work for Christmas I should be feeling festive, perhaps it's because I've got the lurgy that I'm not quite in the mood yet, although I did feel Christmassy when I took the Brownies on the Severn Vally Railway last Sunday to see Santa!

Copic Colour Challenge 36 - Another Halloween Card

A few posts ago I did say that I thought I'd reached my limit this year for Halloween cards but the colours this week at the Copic Colour Challenge blog "screamed" Halloween, so I just has to make another.I have used the Gorjuss Girl "Purrfect Friend" coloured with copics (I didn't have YR68 so have used YR07 instead) and highlighted with Glamour Dust. The DP is from the DVWV Rock star paper pack. The spider and ghost were picked up from my local pound shop in a big pack of halloween decorations.

Stampactular Sunday Challenge - Character Counts

The theme this week over at Stampactular Sunday Challenge is "Character Counts", your project has to include a cartoon character. I wasn't planning on doing this challenge, but then I was emptying out a cupboard and I came across some Winnie the Pooh stamps I had bought off Ebay ages ago to use with my Brownies when we made keyrings and charms using shrink plastic.

I decided to use Winnie the Pooh & Tigger and I have coloured with copic's. The DP is from the Dovecraft "Wild Blossom" paper pack.

Snowmen & snowflakes

I can't believe the length of time since I last made a post, it's just another case of work and life getting in the way, also with nothing but male cards to make for the last 3 months I have been feeling totally uninspired but my favorite time of the year will soon be upon us, and I have just made my first Christmas card (I'm not one of these people who can start making them in August - the weather need to have turned a little colder than normal before I can even think about it).

I have made this card for Crafty Catz Challenge #3 - the challenge theme is Snowmen & Snowflakes.

I have used the Funky Snowgirl stamp by Pink Gem coloured with Copic's and the snowflake DP is from the Forever Friends "Santa's on his way" paper pack, and the snowflakes are by Craftwork Cards.

Sketch and Stash Challenge 12

Here's a couple of cards that I've made for the Sketch & Stash Challenge 12. I've made two cards because they're going to be for my cousins twin daughters and I wanted the cards to be the same but different (I know that sounds gibberish what I mean is that I wanted the same layout & image but different colour schemes).

I have used one of my Miss Anya Stamps which I have for absolutely ages and but just never got round to using. The DP is from American Crafts.
The image is Miss Anya from The Greeting Farm coloured with Promarkers and Koh-i-noor Pencils & Sansador. The DP is by American Crafts.

I'm off now to try and get some revision done, I'm on a 9 week training course for my new job and I have my first test about Housing & Council Tax benefit regulations and calculations on Monday. (That sounds quite dull, I know, but it's not really as boring as it seems)!

Thanks for looking.

Sketch & Stash Challenge 11

Here's my card for the Sketch & Stash Challenge 11. This is for my brother's partner Kerry (who has red highlights, hence the hair on this Gorjuss Girl). Have had this stamp awhile and it had never seen ink and the DP with the little skull & crossbones is from the DCWV Rockstar Stack which is definitely neglected stash, I love it but just never get round to using it.
The image is Gorjuss Girls "Little Goth Girl" coloured with Promarkers and Koh-i-noor Pencils & Sansador. The DP is from DCWV Rockstar Stack.

Friday Sketchers 53

I can't believe my last post was the 28th April, I know it has been awhile but I didn't realise it was that long.

I haven't been totally idle during this time....I've got myself a new job....as of the the 1st June I start work for my local council as a Benefits Officer.

Anyway now to my card. The card is based on the Friday Sketchers layout No.53. Have made this for my Grandma who's going to be 86 on Friday, along with a coordinating money wallet. Even though I don't much like peel offs, I have resorted to using one on this card as it was the only thing I could find in my stash that said Grandma.
Have used Tilda with Ladybug coloured with Promarkers and Koh-i-noor pencils & Sansador. The DP are from the Papermania Sweet Nothings Pack.

On a final note have just finished the Twilight saga, and would definitely recommend. I know they're meant for young adults but I found them totally enthralling and once I started I could not put them down.

1 Card - 3 Challenges

Now I had a big decision tonight, shall I watch the football or shall I escape and make a card for some of this week's challenges..........no contest really, definitely the latter. Because there was a few challenges I liked the look of have tried to incorporate 3 on this card.

Stamp Something - Showers or Flowers
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Spots & Stripes
Sketch & Stash Challenge - Sketch Layout (The stamp is new, everything else from stash)

Have used the Magnolia stamp Tilda in spring rain coloured with promarkers, coloursoft & sansador (Have added glossy accents on the boots), I couldn't decide on a colour for the jacket so I got a bit carried away with the stripes!! The greeting is from Pink Cat Studio & the papers are Papermania Sweet Nothings.

Stampin Chic Colour Challenge - Turquoise & Yellow

This weeks challenge over at Stampin' Chic is a colour challenge, turquoise and yellow!!!!! Now I decided these colours weren't for me (turquoise I could live with, yellow I could live with, but together.....not sure!!) so decided instead to have a couple of hours colouring images while watching 'Britain's Got Talent'. When I looked through the images that I'd done, this Gorjuss Girl was amongst them, so now I just had to have an attempt at the challenge ....

Have used one of the images from the Gorjuss Girls Set 2 coloured with Promarkers, H2o's, coloursoft and sprinkled with a touch of glamour dust. The turquoise DP's are from the CCSR "The Big One" and the yellow DP is Papermania (I think). The sentiment is from the CCSR clear stamp range.
Thanks for looking.

Colour Create Challenge - Black, White & Pink

Here's the card that I've made for this weeks challenge of black, white & pink over at Colour Create. Now, I was supposed to include some polka dots on this weeks challenge but I forgot.....there are some dots on the one of flowers....will that count?

I have used Gorjuss Girls Purrfect Friend coloured with Promarkers, Coloursoft & Sansador. The papers are from the Clare Curd Signature Range. The flowers are cut from one of the DP's.

First Digital Scrapbook Page & Retirement Card

I haven't done this for any particular challenge but I thought I would share it. I'm working on a scrapbook as a prezzie for a lady who is retiring from my Brownies and Guides after 30 ish years and for the cover sheet I thought I'd have a go at digi scrapping. Have used papers & embellishments from Shabby Princess. I didn't want too much going on because I wanted the poem to be the main feature and I don't think it turned out too bad ?!

My brownies wrote this poem last night and they will be reading it out at a surprise event that's planned for this Sunday. Aren't they clever, I don't know if it's my age (probably LOL) but I get a bit emotional every time I read it.....hopefully I'm not going to go to pieces when they say it on Sunday.

This is the retirement card that I have sent - as usual a last minute rush. Have used the penny black stamp Lazy days coloured with watercolour pencils and Sakura Stardust pens (have had this stamp for ages and this is the first time it's seen ink - outrageous tragedy) the sentiment is Elzybells and the papers are from the Papermania Pack - Sweet Nothings.

Thanks for looking

Colour Create Challenge - Chocolate, Coffee & Cream

I have made a card for the this weeks challenge of Chocolate, Coffee & Cream at Colour Create. They're not colours I normally go for but I thought I'd have an attempt.
I have used the LeLo Designs Stamp - You Go First, coloured with Derwent Coloursoft & Sansador. The backing paper is from the Papermania Simply Elegant pack. You're supposed to include some sort of distressing so I sanded the edges of the strip of brown card under the ribbon - not sure if it works though!!!

Also changing the subject I am very excited because I have won the Sketch challenge over on Clare Curds blog on the Docrafts website. I entered one of my Easter cards and was lucky enough to have won!! Lots and lots of thanks to Clare!!

Thanks for looking.
