Creative Craft Challenge - White on white

Is everyone ready for Christmas yet?  I still need to finish my wrapping, write some cards and cook my mince pies, gingerbread and other goodies.  I know time is running out but I'm sure everything will be finished and ready before the big day arrives.

Anyway it's time for  new challenge over at Creative Craft Challenges and it's our last one of the year.   For this challenge we want to see your "white on white" projects.

For my card I have used the Meljen's Designs image "Bundled little Snowboy" coloured with Koh-i-noor pencils and blended with Sansador.  The DP's are just plain white paper that's been embossed with a couple of cuttlebug embossing folders.

I thought I was going to struggle with this challenge because I love colour but I really enjoyed it and love the effect of the white on white.

Creative Craft Challenge - Stitching, Real or Faux

It's time for a new challenge over at Creative Craft Challenge and this fortnight we want to see stitching on your cards, either real or faux.

For my card I have used the Messy Rabbit Rubber Stamp - Baggy Jumper from Joanna Sheen coloured with copics and the DP's are from the Fancy Pants "St Nick" paper pack.

You can just about see my stitching around the outside of the card and as I have so many problems sewing in a straight line, I have discovered the answer to my prayers..... do my stitching in wavy lines....

Craft Calendar December Challenge - Cold and Frosty

It's the first Saturday in December so time for our last challenge of the year over at Crafty Calendar
I'm a bit late in posting because I've just got back from taking my Brownies to see Santa at West Midlands Safari Park.  We had a great day, the animals were fab (the penguins were our favourite), I even went in the bat enclosure (I had to be brave and not show my fear).

Anyway back to the challenge.  This month the theme is "Cold & Frosty" and I decided to go with an image from Lili of the Valley called "Milly Winter Window".  The image is coloured with copics and the DP's are from the First Edition "Christmas Joy" paper pack

Creative Craft Challenge - Free for All

I can't believe it's time for another challenge over at Creative Craft Challenge.  Is anyone else panicking the closer to Christmas it's getting or is that just me?  There seems to be no end to the things I 've got to do and I don't know when I'm going to fit them all in.

Anyway this fortnights challenge over at Creative Craft is "FREE FOR ALL" so anything goes for this challenge.

For my card I have used the Meljen Design's image "Gingerbread House" coloured with copics,  The DP's are from the First Edition "Festive Treats" paper pack.  I did get a bit carried away with the stickles, glossy accents and flower soft, but once I started I couldn't stop.

LOTV Christmas Dance Challenge Card

I fancied a change so I decided to do something I don't normally do which is colour the image with distress inks.  Not a copic in sight for this card.....which was a struggle..

The card is based on a sketch over at Totally Gorjuss.  I have used the LOTV image "Christmas Dance" coloured with distress inks.  The DP's are from The Snowman A5 paper pack which is gorgeous, lots of soft muted colours.  The sentiment is from a set of stamps by Little Clare.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
My Mums Craft Shop - Sugar and Spice
By The Cute and Girly - Christmas Girl
Dream Valley Challenge - Anything Goes

Being away for the weekend means this is the first chance I've had to play with any of my goodies that I bought at the NEC last Thursday.

Creative Craft Challenge - Minimalistic

I've returned from my long weekend in Norfolk with a cold but I've dragged myself from my sickbed to let you know that there's a new challenge over at Creative Craft Challenges

The theme for this fortnight is "Minimalistic" and I have trouble with minimal (If every bit of the card isn't covered it's not finished) so don't have a card to share with you for this challenge.

Crafty Calendar November Challenge - Winter Wardrobe

I'm on holiday in Norfolk at the moment but I've managed to find a Bed & Breakfast with wi-fi so no need to schedule my post.  I've just had breakfast so this is a quick post to let you know about this months challenge over at Crafty Calendar before I head out for the day.  Its time for November's challenge and this month the theme is "Winter Wardrobe".

For my card i have used the Cardmadfairy digi image called "Skating Josie" coloured with copics.  The DP's are from the DCWV Rose-tinted Christmas paper pack.

I'm entering this into the following challenge:

Winter Wonderland - Make your card Sparkle
(I'm hoping that my glittery acetate snowflakes count)

Our sponsor for this month is one of the Crafty Calendar DT,

Creative Craft Challenge - Fancy Edges

It's been a couple of weeks since I've made a card, but my excuse is I've been busy making 14 "Thriller" costumes for my Brownies for their item in the West Bromwich Girlguiding Gang Show, and with dress rehearsals, and then three performances, it's been a busy couple of weeks.

But it's all over now so things are starting to get back to normal.  So it's time for a new challenge over at Creative Craft Challenges today and the theme for this fortnight is "Fancy Edges".

For my card I've used the Whiff of Joy stamp "Ice Skating Henry Mouse" coloured with copics.  The DP's are from the Penelope & Percy paper pack.  The fancy edges are made using a Martha Stewart snowflake border punch.

We are sponsored for this challenge by Whiff Of Joy.

Make sure you pop over to Creative Craft Challenge to check out all the other gorgeous DT creations.

Now I'm off to book my tickets for next weeks Hobbycraft at the NEC.  It's been years since I've been to one of the Christmas shows so have decided it was about time I went.  So by next Thursday my crafty stash may have grown a little (or possibly a lot).

Creative Craft Challenge - Congratulations

How amazing is this, it's our 2nd anniversary over at Creative Craft Challenges so congratulations are in order.
So because it's our anniversary it seems only fitting that the theme for this fortnights challenge is "CONGRATULATIONS".
Amazingly I have made two cards for this challenge using images from two of our sponsors (not quite sure how I managed that.  I just couldn't get the the images to print correctly, and when I'd sorted that I ran out of ink so then at 8.45pm last night there was a mad dash out of the house to get to the nearest Staples store).

For the first card I have used an image by Meljen's Designs called "Birthday Bee" coloured with copics.  The DP's are a mixture of different ranges from my stash.

The second card if using an image from The Stamping Boutique called "Snowman Sign" coloured with copics.  The DP's are from the Wild Rose Studio Christmas paper pack.

Because it's a special occasion we have lots of sponsors and some really fab prizes on offer this fortnight.

Be sure to pop over to Creative Craft Challenges to check out all of the other DT cards and the gorgeous prizes on offer.

Crafty Calendar October Challenge - Spooky

I can't believe it's the 1st October already.  Isn't the unseasonal weather gorgeous.   I got back late last night from a weeks holiday in Torquay, I should have packed more t-shirts and less woolly jumpers.  So now I'm all refreshed and revitalised (I wish), I could do with another holiday to get over it.

Anyway another early post as I'm heading off to work in a little while.  This months challenge over at Crafty Calender is my choice so I decided on "Spooky".  So get those Halloween colours out.

For my card I couldn't decide which image to use so decided to use both of them.  I have used a digi image by Make it Crafty called "Haunted Halloween House" and "Batty Princess" from Kraftin Kimmie.  Both have been coloured with copics.  The DP's were free with this months issue of Making Cards magazine.

We are sponsored for this challenge by Wild Orchid Crafts.

Creative Craft Challenge - A sketch

Hopefully this scheduled post has worked.  The last twice I've tried to schedule a post they failed, but as I'm on holiday at the moment I have no other choice so if this has been successful, there should be a new challenge today over at Creative Craft Challenge.

For this fortnights challenge we have a sketch for you to follow.

For my card I've used the Robyn's Fetish image "A little birdie told me" coloured with copics and distress inks and the DP's are from the MME Lime Twist "Happy Go Lucky" paper pack.  The sentiment is by Stamping Bella.

Lili of the valley playing guitar birthday card

I just thought I'd share this card that I made for one of my brothers, it was his birthday last week but this is the first chance I've had to get this post done.

I've used the LOTV image "Playing Guitar" coloured with copics.  This image reminds me of my brother when he was younger and going through his wannabee rock star phase....not sure that this phase has really ended though.

The DP's are from the MME lime twist "Fly A Kite" paper pack (I love the lime twist papers, it breaks my heart to use them).

Creative Craft Challenge - Buttons and Bling

Another fortnight has passed which means it's time for a new challenge over at Creative Craft Challenges

Our theme for this fortnight is "BUTTONS & BLING" which gave me an excuse to get all sparkly (not that I really need an excuse...)

I have been busy so for this challenge I have TWO cards to share with you.  The first is a card using an image called "Quirky Skunk" which has been coloured with copics and its by one of your sponsors for this challenge Doodle Pantry. The DP's are also by the Doodle Pantry and are supplied with the Quirky Skunk digi image, considering they matched perfectly it seemed silly not to use them.

My second card is using an image called "Christmas Baubles and text" by The Crafty Pad who are also sponsoring this challenge.  The image is coloured with copics and the DP's are from the the Percy & Penelope paper pack from the Daisy & Dandelion range.  I did get slightly carried away with the gems on this card....
