Crafty Calendar White on White Challenge Card.

Afternoon to all.  Is anyone organised and ready for Christmas yet?  I know it's the same time every year but it seems to me that December has comes around so quickly.......I have been busy making Christmas decorations that my Brownies sold to raise funds at our annual Christmas concert and then there was the organising of the concert so my own Christmas planning and crafting has taken a bit of a back seat.   We managed to raise £105 with our decorations and £50 donations for Children in Need so it was worth the hard work it in the end.

It's the first Saturday in December so we have a new challenge over at Crafty Calendar and the theme for this month is "White on White".

For my card I have been having a little play with some new goodies that I got from the NEC back in November at the Hobbycraft show.

My first time using PaperArtsy Grunge Paste and Clarity Stamp Stars Wreath Stencil and I'm quite pleased with the results.  I think I need a little more practise though.

The image is from Pink Petticoat and it is from the Frosty Friends stamp set.

Crafty Calendar BINGO Challenge Christmas Card

Good morning to all.  I hope everyone is well.  It's October so we have a new challenge over at Crafty Calendar.  I know I'm a day late because the challenge went live yesterday but I've only just got back from my holiday.  I went to the Isle of Wight last week and the weather was amazing, I mean it's October and it was so warm and sunny we were in t-shirts all week, all my fleeces came back home unworn.

So even with the freakish warm weather my thoughts went to winter and have made a Christmas Card for this months challenge.

Our theme for this month is a BINGO challenge.  The Bingo board is included in this post so just pick a line from the board - horizontal, vertical or diagonal - and include the elements from that line on your creation.  Please also tell us in your post which line you've used.

For my card I have used:
Robyns Fetish image  'Paul Penguin Sleighing' coloured with copics.
DP's are some magazine freebies and so is the die that I have used to cut the snowflakes.

My bingo line - sparkle, die cuts, blue

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

Crafting at the Weekend - Anything Goes
Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - Lots of Snowflakes
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes

Crafty Calendar Challenge - Leaves and Lace

Good Afternoon to all.  We're in September already and it's the first Saturday in the month so today we have a new challenge over at Crafty Calendar and the theme for this month is Lace and Leaves.

This theme would suggest something Autumnal but I decided on a Christmas themed project.

For my card I have used:
Poinsettia by Artbymiran - I had a go at a different technique with this card, I printed the image onto linen effect textured card and coloured with Coloursoft & Koh-i-noor pencils.  Quite like the result, will definitely use this technique again.
The DP's are from the Dovecraft Krafty Christmas paper pack.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

ABC Christmas Challenge - Red Poinsettia
Artbymiran Challenge - Anything goes
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes

Mermaid Anya Birthday Card

Good morning all.  I hope everyone is well.   I've been having a play with my Cricut explore and The Greeting Farm svg cut files so I thought I'd share my creation.

For this card I cut the Mermaid Anya svg file using the Cricut Explore and then stamped the  Mermaid Anya image on the cut out.  I lined up the stamp on the cut out with my
Stamp-a-majig, I then coloured the image with copics.

I'm not sure where the DP's are from, these were all offcuts in my paper stash and I thought they went quite well together.

The fish are cut from kraft card using a cuttlebug die.  I then coloured the fish using metallic rub on paste (which has been in my craft drawer for years and I've hardly ever used) and then covered them with glossy accents (doesn't really show on the photo).

I then added pearls, my favourite embellishment, I think I manage to get pearls on every card I make.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes
Brown Sugar Challenge - Anything Goes
A Creative Romance - A Touch of Kraft
The Greeting Farm - Farm Fresh Friday - Favourite Embellishment

I Heart Sweaters Anya Snowflake Card.

A very good evening to everyone.  I know it's August but is it too early to start thinking about Christmas cards?  I've had a couple of days off work and after taking my Brownie pack out for an exhausting day out yesterday, today was a day of relaxing so I spent some of it in my craft room and made a card just for fun, I wasn't planning a Christmas card, it just turned out that way.

For my card I have used:
The 6" snowflake card base is cut from The Range 300gsm white card using my Cricut Explore and an image from the Winter Lace collection.
The green snowflake is cut from a sheet from the Dovecraft Back to Basics Traditional Christmas paper pack.
The image is I Heart Sweaters Anya is from The Greeting Farm coloured with copics and cut with Spellbinder circle and scallop circle Nestabilities dies.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Winter Wonderland - Anything Goes for Christmas
STAMPlorations - Stamps & Die cuts
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes

Not many embellishments I know but I don't think it needed them.....

(The inside of the card using a stamp from  Sizzix Framelits Die Set 658279 - 3 dies and 3 coordinating stamps, bought recently from Sizzix for only £3.00, which I thought was a bargain)

DIY Monkey Birthday Card

Good morning all.  It's been a little while since I posted but it's just been too nice to stay inside, we don't get this good weather very often so we have to make the most of it while it's here.

But because today is Martyns birthday I'd thought I'd share his card.  This is a scheduled posting so at this moment in time we should be on the Motorway heading towards Liverpool.  I gave him the choice,  whatever he wants to to today,  so he has decided that he wants to take a ferry cruise on the River Mersey?  I'm under strict instructions not to sing "Ferry 'cross the Mersey" while we're on the boat, not sure I will be able to resist...

For this card I have used:
Digistamp Boutique - DIY Monkey coloured with copics
(because Martyn works for a tool supply company not because he is good at DIY)
The DP's are Pink Petticoat & DCWV

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Crafty Catz - Anything Goes
The Crafter's Cafe - Anything Goes
Fab'n'Funky - Walk on the Wild Side

I just have one other photo to share.  Last weekend we went to London and while we we there we went to see "The Crucible" at the Old Vic Theatre starring Richard Armitage (from The Hobbit, Robin Hood, Spooks, North & South) which is the most amazing play I have seen in ages.  After the performance we were lucky enough to meet Richard Armitage, who took time out to talk to us and is just as gorgeous in real life.....

Stamping Bella Uptown Girl Lolly with her Brolly birthday card

Good morning all.  Just thought I'd share a card I made yesterday.
I've been spending some of my evenings this week practising with my copics.    I use my copics nearly all of the time but I just felt in need of a bit of a refresher.   I probably would have been better doing this at my desk in the craft room but decided to have a bit of a change.  So I settled on the settee in the living room with my box of pens and bits of paper with the TV on in the background.

I decided to colour a stamp I've had for absolutely ages and hadn't got round to using.  With this one I worked on shading techniques using my copics and then Koh-i-noor Progresso pencils blended with mineral spirit for an extra bit of shading.

For my card I have used:
Stamping Bella Uptown Girl - "Lolly and her Brolly" coloured with copics and Koh-i-noor pencils.
DP's are a mixture of Papermania Capsule Collection "Sunshine" and DCVW.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

Natalie & Amy's Challenge - Rubber Stamping
Stamping Sensations - Anything Goes
7 kids Challenge Fund - Anything Goes with an Optional Twist of Flowers

Crafty Calendar May Challenge - Sunshine and Showers Birthday Card

Good morning all.   Do you all have exciting things planned for the May Day bank holiday?  Hopefully the weather will be good so we can enjoy sometime outside.   Not sure what we're up to yet, maybe a trip to Bristol, we'll see.....

Well it's the first Saturday in the month so we have a new challenge over at
Our theme for this month is "SUNSHINE & SHOWERS".
It's that time of year when we're never quite sure what the weather is going to be like from day to day....hopefully May will be more sunshine than showers.

For my card I have used:
"Don't Rain On My Parade" from Robyns Fetish Digital Stamps coloured with copics.
The DP's are from a freebie I had with a magazine, the pack doesn't have a manufacturers name on but I will have to try and find out who they are by because I quite like them so I might try to get a few more...

My Easter cards and other creations

Happy Easter to all.  Hope you haven't eaten too many eggs.....I just thought I'd share my creations for this Easter... not just cards in this post, I've also tried my hand at a few other projects.

The first item is a card using Elzybells Chick Trio stamp coloured with copics.
The DP's are from the Me to You Easter paper pack.

The second card is using the Digistamp Boutique image Easter Treat Bunny coloured with copics.
Just a quick clean card which is unusual for me.  Only one sheet of patterned paper and not many embellishments.  The DP is from the Me to You Easter paper pack.

Now onto Easter gifts.  These jars are filled with Cadbury's Mini Eggs and have been decorated with Digistamp Boutique images 'Daffodil Chicklet' and 'Easter Balloon Chicklet' coloured with copics.

I thought the jars were a bargain......They're from Ikea and only cost £1.90 for four jars and they each hold about a pack and a half of mini eggs (the 100g pack)...

Next item is Chupa Chups bunny lollys and these were inspired from a post over on Pinterest.  They're made from  Chupa Chups lollipops, wooden beads painted with white acrylic paint, heart diecut funky foam for the feet, pom poms for the face and tail, white pipe cleaner ears and googly eyes.......Easter Bunnies

The last item is an Easter treat bag I made for my niece Holly.
It's a drawstring bag with lining and it's made from white felt and pink patterned cotton.
I didn't follow a pattern and it was loosely inspired by the sleepy bunny goody bag over on Pinterest but I knew that in my bag I wanted so I adapted the idea to a drawstring bag so that it suited my needs.   Luckily I managed to make it just about big enough to hold three packets of Cadbury's buttons and four Peppa Pig chocolate bars.

My Easter window...

Now I'm off to get comfy on the sofa and watch Endeavour.

Thanks for stopping by.
