Crafty Calendar December Challenge - Let it Snow

Good Morning to all.  Hope everyone is well this morning.  Today is the first Saturday in December so we have a new challenge for you over at Crafty Calendar.

Are you all ready for Christmas?  Now that my Brownies Christmas Concert and craft stall are over which consisted of frantically making Christmas decorations to sell on the on the stall because I'd left it late again (even took to taking some felt decorations with me on a trip to London so I could sew them while I was on the train),  I can start thinking of my own Christmas.  I have just about finished my shopping, but it has got to be wrapped and I still have Christmas cards that need to be made.  So this months challenge theme
"LET IT SNOW"
is the perfect chance to tick another Christmas card off the list.

For my card I have used
Di's Digi image Reindeer Holly coloured with copics.
The DP is from the Disney Minnie Mouse 6 x 6 paper pack.
The kraft frame was cut using the MFT stitched square die.
The Christmas greeting is from Craftwork Cards.

I love making Christmas cards it gives me the change to go mad with glitter and sparkle....I have a cushion on my bed with the phase "When in doubt add glitter"...which is a sentiment I totally agree with....

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Crafty Catz - Let It Snow
Natalie & Amy - Christmas

We have two sponsors for this months challenge:

and

you can win a $12 voucher to spend in the store

Crafty Calendar Challenge - Sparkle, Bling & Embellish

Good Morning all.  I hope you are all well on this cold rainy November day.
Well Halloween & Bonfire Night have been and gone so it's time that I started thinking about making a start on my Christmas crafting.

For a few years I've made Christmas decorations and candles that I sell to raise funds for my Brownie unit and I always say I will start making these earlier in the year so that it's not a mad rush finishing the items off the day before the Christmas Fayre......seeing as I haven't made any yet I don't think this year will be any different, but at least with this months challenge card I've made a start on my Christmas cards.

It's the first Saturday in the month so the a new challenge over at

Crafty Calendar is
Sparkle, Bling and Embellish.

For my card I have used

  • Valerie with Snowball by Mo Manning from Stamping Bella coloured with copics.
  • The background is kraft card and I have added some sparkle using the Imagination Crafts Multi Snow Dots Stencil with Aurora Sparkle Cosmic Shimmer Texture Paste.
  • The Snowflakes are die cut using the Memory Box Precious Snowflake die with a little gem in the centre for added sparkle.

We are sponsored for this challenge by Brenda's Lace & Ribbon Specials
who is offering this gorgeous goody bag of embellishments.

Crafty Calendar Challenge - BINGO

Good afternoon to all.  A little later posting than normal due to having been at work this morning and then having to try and get used to using Windows 10.   After using Windows 7 for a number of years it takes a little getting used to.

Today is the 1st of August so definitely the first Saturday of the month which means we have a new challenge over at Crafty Calendar and this month we are playing
"BINGO"

For my card I have used:
The image is "Sunshine Bubbles"  by That Craft Place coloured with copics
The DP is from the Wild Rose Studio Polka Dots paper pack

I had a nightmare colouring this image, as I coloured it all my skin colour copics that I normally use decided to run out so it didn't quite turn out how it was supposed to look....

Here's the BINGO card to go with the challenge, just use 3 items in either a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line, or use every item for a full house.   On my card I managed two lines, a diagonal - pink, kraft and buttons and the first vertical column - pink, die cuts and faux stitching.

We are sponsored for this challenge by:

Pop over to Crafty Calendar Challenge and play BINGO with us this month and check out the gorgeous DT creations.

Crafty Calendar Challenge - Aurora Wings Fancy Fold Card

Good morning to all.   I think summer has finally arrived.  The weather is warmer, the sun is shining and unfortunately I'm at work all this weekend unable to enjoy it,,,,well until 1pm each day so I may get a few hours of sunshine in the afternoon.

It's the first Saturday in June so it's time for a new challenge over at Crafty Calendar.

For this month the theme is
"FANCY FOLDS"
so for me it's time to ditch the standard square card.

For my card I have made a Z fold card (I think that's what it's called, please comment and put me right if I'm mistaken).
I have used Strawberry Sprite by Aurora Wings and I've coloured the image with Koh-i-noor & Coloursoft Pencils.
The DP's are freebies from a magazine.

With June being the month of Wimbledon and strawberries and cream I thought this image was perfect for this months challenge.

Crafty Calendar May Challenge - Things With Wings.

Morning all.  I hope everyone is okay this morning.  It's May already and it's the first Saturday so we have a new monthly challenge over at Crafty Calendar.

The theme for this month is "THINGS WITH WINGS" and I've gone a little off the norm with this card.

Normally I'd have chosen a fairy, bird or insect but for a change I have a DRAGON card....he has wings, although they are really tiny compared to his size....I don't think he'll ever take off.....

The image is Drago and Flowers by Digistamp Boutique coloured with copics.
The DP is a paper by Pink Petticoat, I had this as a freebie in a magazine,  I've tried searching for the name of it on their website but I think it may be a discontinued range.
The layouts have been cut using the Die'namics Blueprints Set #14.
The greeting is from a Personal Impressions Paula Pascual stamp set stamped with versamark ink and heat embossed with white powder.

I'm sponsoring this months challenge so the prize is a bag of crafty goodies for the winner.

Little Meow Birthday Card, Watercolour Pencils and Wink of Stella

Morning all.  Hope everyone is okay this morning.  We've made it to halfway through the week, not long to go to the weekend.  I've been having a go with some different techniques just lately so I'm sharing a card that I have made using Faber Castell Gelatos and Zig Wink of Stella.

The image is from the Little Meow Someone Special stamp set by Docrafts. This has been stamped onto watercolour paper and coloured with watercolour pencils but instead of water I blended the colour using Clear Wink of Stella.

The background is watercolour paper embossed using the Crafters Companion Barkley Embossing Folder - Flowers For You (which was a bargain, I picked this up from one of the hobbycraft shows from the Everycrafts a £1, 12 items for £10 stall).

I then used 3 colours of Faber Castell Gelatos (Watermelon, Snow Cone, Margarita Mix) on the embossed paper and softened and blended the colours using a babywipe.

The cat, flower, pennant and greeting banner have all been cut using Die-namics Blueprints Set #12 and the scallop circle is one of the spellbinders dies.

It doesn't show that well on the photo but the cat and flags have a gorgeous glistening and sparkly effect.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

Cuttlebug Mania - use a stamp
Party Time Tuesdays - Anything Goes

See you soon.....

Santoro Gorjuss Stamp - Dear Alice coloured with copics.
DP's - Santoro Gorjuss Paper Pack 6 x 6
The heart background is a stamp I picked up from Hobbycraft stamped with versamark ink and heat embossed with red powder,
The ribbon stamp is from Dear Alice heat embossed with white powder

Happy Bee Day To You

Morning all.   I have another card to share today.....I went to one of the papercraft shows a few weeks ago so have spent a little time just playing with some of my goodies.

For this card NO DP's involved...not like me at all.

Items used:

Background - Grunge Paste used with a Honeycomb Stencil by Imagination Crafts and then coloured with Mustard Distress Ink.
Kanban Lace Floral Mat Clear stamp embossed with white embossing powder.
Lawn Fawn Bugs & Kisses clear stamp set coloured with copics and embossed with clear embossing powder and cut using the matching Lawn Fawn Bugs & Kisses die set.
Sentiment from the Tiddlyinks "Happy Bee Day" stamp set.

Gosh there was a lot of items involved with making this card I though the list was never going to end.  I just fancied a change and it nice just to have a play with products with no plan or reason to make the card.
