Lili of the Valley Blooming Lovely Birthday Card

Good morning.  I hope you are well and the sun is shining wherever you are as opposed to the rain we are to having where I live.  I'm sharing today a card that I made a while ago but didn't get around to blogging. This card was for my Moms last birthday back in December.

I have used for this card Blooming Lovely from Lili of the Valley coloured with copics  The background of the image happened following an accident with a copic marker.  When I was colouring the flower the yellow marker leaked and made the big yellow splodge right next to the flower.  So to disguise this I made lots of other splodges all over the background.

When I was sorting out moms belongings I found this card along with every other card that I had made her over many years.  She had kept every single one .... even the ones from my early days when I was still finding my way and they needed improvement.....lots of it..

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day and I'll see you soon.

The image is called Lily Ladybug and she has been coloured with copics.
The background paper is from the Ladybug Digital Paper Pack by AMBillustrations over at Etsy.
The greeting is from the Lawn Fawn Scripty Sayings stamp set embossed in white and then I've added some embellishments and Dovecraft 3D liquid Enamel Effects to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon.

Crafty Calendar Challenge Card - Boys will be Boys

Good morning all.  I haven't posted for a couple of weeks due to being away on holiday.  A weeks rest in sunny Spain is exactly what I needed.

Today is the first Saturday in June so we have a new challenge over at Crafty Calendar.   The theme this month is
'Boys will be Boys'.

My card for this challenge is a little bit "out there" maybe not the traditional boys/mans card....

For my card I have used:-

Captain Gneng digi stamp from Dr Digi's House of Stamps coloured with copics.
The spaceship is a stamp from the My Favorite Things Out Of This World stamp set and the planet is from My Favorite Things Space Explorer Stamp set both coloured with copics.

The greeting is a combination of two stamps from the My Favorite Things Out Of This World stamp set stamped with versamark and heat embossed with WOW white embossing powder.
The large planet is a clipart image, printed and then cut.

The background is created by blending distress inks Black Soot, Faded Jeans, Dusty Concord and Spiced Marmalade.  I then spritzed this with water, dried with my hot air gun and then flicked white acrylic paint over it.

I love how the background turned out.....everyone is now going to be having space themed cards......

I also added some white Dovecraft 3D Liquid Enamel Effects and a couple of punched white stars.

We are sponsored for this challenge by

Pop over to Crafty Calendar and share your male themed creations this month and check out the gorgeous DT cards.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you Monday with a new card to share.
